  3. Compromise: "We will do the medicine, but we will also allow the shaman to come in."
  4. Verify: "Tell me in your own words what we agreed to." (Check for translation errors).

Common Pitfalls

  • The "Stupid" Assumption: Assuming cultural difference is lack of intelligence.
